Do all your safety footwear meet the Australian standards?

All Gator Safety footwear sold by Trading Downunder meet and are certified to AS/NZ 2210.3.2019. This is the Australian and New Zealand standard for occupational protective footwear.

The only exceptions are the GE5869 Gator Explorer as this is a soft toe boot and the Gaston Mille Safety Overshoes. The overshoes’ toecap’s impact protection meets the Australian standards however the product itself cannot be certified due to it only being a half sole.

How do we know that your footwear products are certified to Australian standards?

You will find the BSI’s Benchmark Product Certification logo marked inside the tongue of each product.

This indicates that the conformity of our product is based on technical documentation and an annual review of our manufacturing and quality control process to monitor our ability to consistently produce products in compliance with AS 2210.3:2019.

Do you have footwear that are size 14UK (49 European) or higher?

Most of our men’s shoes go up to sizes 12UK (47 European) or 13UK (48 European) depending on the style of the shoe. The only style that does go up to size 14UK (49 European) is the Gator Polar, which is a freezer/cool room boot. Unfortunately, we do not have anything with a bigger fit.

Do you have a comfort guarantee?

Although we believe that the footwear we supply are all comfortable, not all brands provide a comfort guarantee policy. The policy below is only applicable for the following styles:

  • GE5869 Gator Explorer
  • GC3741 Gator Safety Everglades
  • GI6085 Gator Safety Recoil
  • GI2011 Gator Safety Rebound
  • GI2309 Gator Safety Recoil Camo

If during the first thirty (30) days of purchasing your correctly fitted Gator Impulse footwear from an approved reseller, you do not find them comfortable, you may return them (at your own cost) to the place of purchase, along with your original receipt. Provided the footwear is not damaged or altered you may choose a full refund or exchange up to the original purchase price of the footwear.

What is your warranty policy?

All Safety Footwear supplied by Trading Downunder carries a manufacturer’s warranty for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase against defective workmanship and/or materials if worn under normal conditions for the purpose intended. This warranty will be void if in the opinion of the manufacturer or authorised Australian distributor the product has been subjected to abuse or excessive wear and tear including exposure to cement, lime, chemicals, water or heat, if the product was not designed to be worn in those conditions. As a condition of warranty you must present evidence of the date of purchase in the event of any claim. This warranty if offered in addition to, and does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
